²⁸ “For ^(A)fire went out from Heshbon,
A flame from the city of Sihon;
It consumed ^(B)Ar of Moab,
The lords of the ^(C)heights of the Arnon.
²⁹ Woe to you, ^(D)Moab!
You have perished, O people of ^(E)Chemosh!
He has given his ^(F)sons as fugitives,
And his ^(G)daughters into captivity,
To Sihon king of the Amorites.

³⁰ “But we have shot at them;
Heshbon has perished ^(H)as far as Dibon.
Then we laid waste as far as Nophah,
Which reaches to ^(I)Medeba.”
